The mystery of Master Ranks:

CLAT office did not break ties for reaching these ranks, so on any given rank there maybe hundreds of people tied. Naturally, your rank is of no value unless you know how many people are there above you tied at the above ranks.

For illustration, lets say the topper got 173. The 2nd highest score is 170, and 5 different people got it. What should be the rank of a person who gets 169? Normal prudence says, 7. According to what the CLAT people have done, his ALL India Master Rank will be 3.

So before you can know what college you can get in, wait till Monday evening. We have heard that is when the CLAT office will break the ties.

By the way, we have heard that 173 is the highest score. Great score given this paper. Well done! From the look of things, anything above 135 should get you into top 3 law school. Not confirmed though.
