Hello Vineet,

Hope you are doing well.

You can modify your question as in is it compulsory to read the Hindu only. Anyways, I got your point.

Vineet, it is not compulsory to read the Hindu only, but it is necessary to read news from an authentic source. The Hindu is one of the Best English Newspapers in our Country. One more advantage of reading the Hindu could be as it will enhance your comprehensive capability, reading speed & skill and vocabulary also.

You can select any authentic source (if you are asking for GK purpose only) as your wish but remember it should have some worth.

I hope you got your answer.

If you have any further query, please do ask us.

All the best:)

Thank you priyanka,
Can u do me another favour
I mean what to read in hindu i mean its an huge newspaper or please tell me any other authentic source?

Vineet, the front page and the Editoral are the important parts in 'the Hindu' but it doesn't mean that these two pages are enough for the preparation. Instead of the Hindu, you can subscribe for Times of India, if you are getting it difficult to understand.

Hi Vineet,

Doing GK from online sources is also highly beneficial, there are atleast 22 decent websites online. Make handwritten notes. Read it on a regular basis. Then solve the quizzes available on these websites. (CLAT LOVES TO COPY QUESTIONS- the 2015 version is a good example). It is a good way to gauge as to how much you really know. If you are hell bent on reading the Hindu, go ahead. But remember CLAT IS ONLINE. So reading the Hindu should would improve your reading speed BUT ONLY ON PAPER. Read blogs, online articles, etc. Very useful from an examination perspective.

Can you tell me some online sites

I had the same query as you... Hindu is not tough to understand but a bit on the boring side for those who are not avid newspaper readers... Call it excuses or what but its tough to sit and read a  newspaper and manage your school and tuitions and CLAT coaching and everything else.... Newspaper just seems a bit avoidable... :P

Then I found this...

It has some decent tips to prepare GK for CLAt specialised for late starters... Hope it helps :)
