First of all let me clarify to all fellows that the Amity Law School, Delhi (ALSD) is affiliated to IP University and is a renowned college with national ranking 9 or 10. It's fees are reasonable to the tune of 50 to 60 K per anum. Amity Law School, Noida (ALSN) belongs to Amity University and their tution fee is Rs.92500/- per semester. Hostel etc. NOT included in both the cases. ALSN gives you admission on a platter -- their admission test is pretty easy, obviously.. There's NO connection between the two colleges.. The Buildings,Staff, other facilites, exams every thing is separate..!
I came to know abt the above said after I paid a visit to ALSN , two weeks back.
Well, now the main question is that we have got our RANKS in IPU CET-2012. But the ranks are common to all the categories of students of two broad categories - `Delhi' and `Outside Delhi'. The total seats would be divided in the ratio of 85% for Delhi and 15% for ~Outside Delhi' candidates.
Hereafter, both these broad categories have sub categories like General, Defence, Physically challenged, SC, ST.....
So, guessing whether one would be through or not, based on one's RANK per se, is very difficult.
So, it would be important to see the first counselling list on 18th June. Because, one's inclusion in the list would give a fairly good idea abt final selection. Here, it will be important to be there in time for the counselling.. since it would be on basis of only the RANKS. If you are missing when called upon, the next guy would be called and if you turn up later and by then the seats are exhausted, you'd be a loser..
Unfortunately, there is no correct data readily available about the previous years cut-off figures for various tests like CLAT, IPU CET, Symbiosis, NLU (D) etc. If some one forwards the data and if the website manager takes initiative, it would be a great help to the site members / visitors. ( R U Listening ???)
Pl. put forth your views... Let's make it useful discussion for everyone of us..!
